No, its really not.
That said, it brought back memories of the Sears Toughskin jeans I used to have. If you wore a hole in the knee, you had your mom bring them back and you got a free pair. We didn't want to, it was like a badge of honor!
That probably was a prototype Kevlar fabric that they tried on kids first, now that I think about it.
