How does this even happen to an engine?
Is this the result of too tight of a piston to head clearance I.e. Did the connecting rod stretch too much during high revs which allowed the piston to hit the head?
Did the valve hit the piston? If the valve hit the piston I would expect the valved to be damaged. In the picture it looks fine.
What caused this?
