Fuel line? I had a KLR that did the exact same thing. It had a very cheap fuel line and when it got hot it would collapse and crimp at the bend. Replace it with a better quality line and never had problem again.

I pulled the fuel line at the petcock, but not at the carb. Note to replace it though just in case.
