Along with the other fly and ride sale Joe mentioned, I guess this answeres the question of flying and riding home from the mothership which was posed a couple of months back.

I considered it with one way fares in the area of 40 bucks from my place to LA, but I'm glad I didn't. The main problems would have been the gearing (15t front) and the front brakes which were just plain awful and didn't improve until the brake fluid was replaced. Now I'd trust it a lot more and I'd be willing to take a long trip.
