Grip up (or choak up as they say) on the ratchet drive and tighten hard. This won't allow you to tighten too much. Then give it another short turn farther out on the ratchet handle. No , not scientific and it you want specifics, ain't gonna happen. Is it close enough, you bet. This being said , if you are a arm wrestling champ, perhaps you should find a torque wrench with proper specs.
I think arh has alluded to a similar idea also.
