This is supposed to be a real nice scooter. A member here (Jayman) has a pair of them and he's had no issues with them, though it's been a while since he's reported. Also seems right in your budget. It's also "50 state legal" if that makes a difference.

This vendor has not-so-good reviews like most "big box" China vendors....but Swampy had good luck with them.
