Check to make sure your tank is not grounding out to the frame. I had the same issue and it turned out that from the factory they had installed the rubber isolator on top the tank instead of between the tank and frame. This is how it was installed from the factory. A quick way to test it is to just remove the bolt and lift the tank off the frame to see if it works again. That's how I figured it out that it had to do with the tank grounding out.
