On page 32 of the manual it says to adjust the cable slack with the engine‐mounted adjusters until there is approximately 3 mm of slack on the handlebar clutch lever. This is what I went by when I adjusted my clutch. Once I set it to 3 mm slack in the cable I fine tuned it with the barrel adjuster with the engine warm until it would slip in an out of neutral easily. It took a little fiddling but I haven't had any issues finding neutral since.
