Always a 17 tooth front and usually a 39 sometimes a 43 tooth rear sprockets depending on how much wind I will be fighting for the day ("40+ mph winds with gusts 70+ mph" happen regularly out here), or if I plan on doing any "4x4 Black Diamond Trails"
... I only weigh 120lbs, so my gearing/sprocket choices can be a little 'odd' for the type of riding I do
