Excellent thread!


I was lucky with Lifanda, because the bearings were already tapered rollers from the factory; I haven't changed the forks to anything Honda, but I might. Son of Weldangrind has an '83 XR200R that until last Thursday had a CG230 in it; one of the first things we did with that bike was upgrade to '85 XR250 forks, which provided a disc brake. Much better.


We're going to install a genuine XR200R motor in his bike, which is now equipped with a higher compression Wiseco piston. Should be fun.
