Those some great pics Dan and yes the exhaust port looks exactly like that, I was expecting worse though. I had seen some bad ports on YouTube compared to this. It looks like there is room for improvement for sure though. Did you use a Die grinder and sand paper?

I decided I would focus removing the cat only in this video when I seen that the original exhaust was not up to my liking after gutting it, I will be replacing it with the aftermarket exhaust simply because of the muffler couldn't be opened up properly and the cat area was still too ruff.

It just didn't make sense to port on a head with all that jagged cat area and whatever may be blocking it in the muffler.
