Finally, a ride!

The weather warmed up today and so took the bike for a pretty good ride. Has a top end bog... will figure that out, maybe needle needs raised or dropped. Has a small oil leak from right behind the cylinder. Shoot darn. Will have to remove the engine, or lift the cylinder up a bit or take it off and regasket, and/or get some Indian Head shellac gasket maker in there. Let’s see, actually ran pretty darn good! Enjoyed the ride and really like the little booger.

Also, talked with my local Ace Hardware store. They can computer scan my tank, or a shock or another part that has the original blue, then mix me a can of spray paint for about 15$. I can then get the side covers looking very close to original. Won’t be that fancy 2 layer metallic but will be fine. Then maybe spray them with some clear coat and will be looking pretty good! Won’t touch the other parts that are original paint.
