That was my thought. Looks like a fabricated steel arm to me as well, so as I said, I don't think it will be much of an upgrade in terms of strength, unless they used thicker steel. It can't be any worse than the Hawk unit, especially on the adjuster end. We will know for sure once it arrives and I can compare it with the Hawk unit. If there is any increase in strength it would be due to the reasons I stated previously.
All of that said, it is an upgrade in adjuster style (personal opinion) and if the two ends of the arms are actually square with one another that would also be an improvement. For the price, it's hard to complain too much.
I plan on doing a side by side comparison of the two once I have it in hand. At least with this style I can't crush the end of the swing arm by tightening the axle down.

As far as I know the Brozz swing arm has always been steel, just painted a silver that looks like Aluminum. It could be possible that an older version sold with one, but most every one I have seen has looked like this.
