Indeed! Not only do the online dealers not tell you the complete truth, but I really think it's their lack of knowledge. Just like when the Hawk was introduced and the paperwork called it a dirt bike. Many states won't (or wouldn't) register it for street riding.
So, for those of us who reside here, do yourself a favor and do some research. Call the website and speak to them prior to ordering and confirm is it's really street legal and it can be plated, not just green or red stickered for off-road.
Again, "50 State Legal" doesn't always mean streetable.
