I bet you can make it to reach 25 hp, with some work and some money. But still the Chinese 250 DOHC 4v stock (detuned) is 24 hp and it's the same base they use for the 300 dohc that's 31 hp.
That engine is not really much more expensive than the re250.
I guess i had set my hopes on the RE250 too high, because i really like the motorcicyle that comes with that engine.
