Use soldering iron to melt the "tabs" on the ends into the plastic then cover your melty / weldy work with jbweld. Had the same problem on my magician when I had a stock tank. I used this to completely replace the plastic loop things. Hope this helps.

Wire thing not to scale, the shape for your loop thing may be different. Or you could try plastic welding with a soldering iron it's hard to tell what would work best from the photo as I'm not familiar with that exact bike. |
