Another step complete, plastics painted and installed. I started the bike and fuel poured out of the petcock and oil was running on the ground from the right side of the bike. I ordered a new petcock and installed and that fixed it, no more leaks. The oil leak was coming from the oil filter housing. I had ordered an aftermarket filter and o-ring and the o-ring was a little too big and got pinched in the cover so I put the old o-ring back on and that did the trick. Took it out for it's maiden voyage red neck style, sitting on the frame since my seat isn't done yet.
It ran really good with no hiccups with the carb at all. The engine sounds really good and quiet but like most of these bikes the exhaust is a little loud. I will probably repack the db killer at some point. Transmission shifted butter smooth and the clutch seems good too. I ordered a new headlight and fairing piece and the seat foam is on it's way. After that maybe a few stickers and I'll be finished with it.
