Always go with the manual. If no manual, it should be on the bike somewhere, like the swing arm. Same as a car, you go with what is shown inside the door.
Tires show the "max" pressure, but a bike or car is designed around a specific pressure that 9 outa 10 times is other than what is on the tire.
