Ah yes, the awesome skid plate. The RX3's here cracked early on. I used rubber toilet washers on mine and avoided the breakage.
I took mine off the Scram when I saw the first post about cracking on the other forum. I wanted to paint it anyway. The thing fit poorly. Lots of tension squeezing together side to side and the front squishing backwards at the two mounting bolts. I could see where the right rear mount would take the brunt of the stress.
Stuck mine in the vise and tweeked it around quite a bit, test fitting the whole time. Fits with far less tension now. Hoping to avoid the inevitable cracked mount. Ended up lining it with dyna-mat type stuff to stop any buzzing and help insulate the echo.
