It needs rejetting, possibly cleaning. Jets cost 10 bucks for a complete set, including pilot and main jets.

Also, drill out the pilot circuit mixing screw and adjust it. Maybe shim the needle by a mm or so to advance the enrichment curve.

If you have money to spare, but a new carb and a set of jets and then begin rejetting. All carbs usually need adjustment and usually rejetting. I would start there. Your OEM should be OK.
