They sure look different than the lower USD fork tube guards.
I guess if you remove the OEM boots, or your dirt bike didn't come with them
I guess this would be an alternative. More common than I thought, I guess. I think I would just replace the boots if they wore out (assuming I could). Much more protection. I guess some road bikes don't necessarily come with the boots.
