Ok, I tried tapping on the solenoid but it just will click one time every time I push the start button. The wires all look secure. As for my tail light, I did find the problem. Looks like the green/yellow stripe wire and the brown wire came undone.

As for my tube... I felt the entire inside of the rear tire and didnt feel anything that would have caused the scrape. It doesnt seem like the scrape is on the part of the tube that touches the rim. Here is the picture.
