Blasted Kickstand!!!

Got the scoot out of the garage. Put her on the sidestand and started her up. Turned around to close the garage door and, "Clump!" That awful sound as the scooter fell over when the sidestand let go.

Now, the side is all scratched up!.

My stupid and another quality gripe. The sidestand is too long and won't let the bike lean enough(even on level ground) to prevent tipping over in a strong wind, or as in this case- the vibration of an idling engine.

So, i got out the butane torch and heated the stand post enough to bend it out a little more and now she leans nicely when parked. Too late though to prevent this mishap.

That's another thing, the center stand is almost impossible the use. The pedal that hangs out is very hard to get your foot on and it's smooth steel so you can't grip it with your shoe or boot. Needs to stick out about half inch further and could use a nice rubber pad on it.
