I was talking about having a second rear wheel. Set up with a dual sport tire and a road sprocket. This is just me. I don't spontaneously dart off into the woods to hit a trail or two. When I actually go offroad it means with grandkids. Meaning trailered bikes, air tank, gas can, cooler, lunch, helmets, first aid kit, etc. A certain amount of prep work is required anyway, so I have no issue with doing a wheel swap to the "fun" tire/gearing. Wife says I turn wrenches in my sleep.
Most of this bike's duty will be running around. Yes, I know a TBR7 or a Hawk probably would have better suited. The Templar just called to me. At some point I expect to hang it off the back of my RV when we go certain places. We won't be off roading and as much as I like the knobby tire it won't suit. I'd much rather swap a wheel than a tire. Front tire I'm not worried about...though now that I think of it....
