Well, the kickstart return spring broke. I can't complain. It's 57 years old. This bike is in a hell of lot better shape at 57 than I was at the time!

Anyway, it's cheap (15.00 delivered) and easy to change. Arriving today so I tore it apart yesterday. Only took a half hour. I didn't even have to drain the gear oil. Just tilt it over.

I was stunned at how clean the motor is inside. I did very little clean up, mostly RTV scraping around the edges. These Brit bikes are so simple compared to all the Japanese stuff I've wrenched on in the last few years.
