small hole drilled in a dash plate. black wire to ground, red wire to battery. it blinks yellow (good charge on battery) or red (slightly low charge on battery) with the bike off just like those alarm indicator led's if you walk up to the bike and the LED is solid red you may have trouble starting or off then you have a dead battery
you could also tap the red off a ignition switched line if you only want it on when you are on the bike.
