Great point! The msrp is not necessarily the price you pay for a bike. While the SSR has a much higher MSRP than its competitors, the real cost of the XF250 is about the same as a TT250. For example: I got my XF 250 from a dealer for $2,700 out the door. This included CA sales tax(9.25%), assembly, 1st oil change, and a CA license plate. The dealer did not charge me a documentation fee to go to the DMV for me.
Now, add the CSC TT250(No haggle price of $2195) assembly($195), sales tax($202), CA title and license plate (approx $50) documentation fee($45), crating($150), and shipping(free right now I see), the out the door price of the TT250($2,837) could actually be higher than what I paid for the XF250.
The TT250 appears to be an awesome bike for the price, I just want to point out that the MSRP and actual purchase price can be very different.
Almost forgot, the XF has a 2.5 Gallon Tank.
