It appears that most parts of these two engines would be identical, excluding the crankcase covers, et cetera. The Shineray engine appears to be very robust and a reasonable copy of the Honda engine. I much prefer the simplicity of this air cooled engine to the other, Chinese, water cooled engines.

The Shineray X5 also has an adjustable shock absorber, with an external oil reservoir.
