Regarding the shimming of the needle jet, you can buy
special shim washers sold specifically for this purpose that are 0.5mm thick or get 0.5mm thick M3 washers from any hardware store. SAE #4 washers can also be used but are slightly larger diameter and thicker (0.8mm). It's best to use stainless steel or brass.
