Galveston to Dallas ... and back ...
After getting my bike broke in, I rode to Dallas for Easter.
I shook the poor thing apart but have it mostly back together now. I do not need to change my tires or back sprocket. My bike did just fine the way it came. http://www.stormloader.com/users/gre...own/index.html Regards, |

Hey, nice write-up. Sounds like you had an adventure, only maybe not so much the fun kind. :? How did you manage to have breakdowns near/in a town when businesses were open? Wish I had that kind of karma! lol

Just lucky I guess
Dear Princess,
It was actually a blast. Once I address all the issues from it, I'm sure they will not happen again. I guess civilization has spread about everywhere by now as far as being near hardware stores when I needed one. MPRanger |

You obviously haven't been across Montana/Wyoming/S. Dakota...
Glad you got it all fixed.

i wish i had more chinabike buds nearby me, i am itching to do a long distance ride on one... i like the fact that its almost always an adventure on these bikes as things are bound to happen on a 300 mile ride...
did you feel intimidated by the drivers going 80 mph? around here, the speed limit is 65 on most of the interstates, so i have to basically stay at top speed to stay with the flow of traffic at the speed limit..

Traffic worries - not reallytoo bad
mdsuave13,
No I wasn't to wooried about traffic. I45 is a nice hiway and I stayed in the right lane. I definitely got jostled around though with the bow wave from those semi's and then again on the backwash as they went by. Greg |
