Progressive insured my Bashan, but only as "other."

My VIN did come up as Bashan in Geico's system. My bikes are through Progressive, my cars through Geico (thanks to a nasty little clause in Geico's motorcycle policies).

progressive had no issues with adding my storm. Terrible company but they were the cheapest that would insure it.

I haven’t insured my 18 Brozz . What kinda of rates are you guys seeing ? Insurance isn’t required in Florida on motorcycles. I didn’t see much need on a $1400.00 motorcycle.

I just insured my Bashan motomax through progressive for $70 for a whole year! Geico wanted double that. Geico lists Bashan as a manufacturer but progressive makes you select "other" and type it in. Vin was recognized on both sites.

LOL you don't want to know. We get screwed in MI, its about 250-300 per bike annually for just liability.

The progressive lady told me the vin wasn't coming up, asked if it was a atv, gieco brought vin up as bashan brozz, 84 bucks a year.

I know it isn't required but if I ding somebodys car in a parking lot insurance may save me a law suit.

I wanted to say thanks Ina Ditch for starting this thread!. I contacted Progressive to add my Brozz to my policy for my Z400. I added liability and road side assistance. They will not insure it for full coverage due to not being in their database. After adding the Brozz my insurance dropped $6.00 for the remainder of my policy and when I renew , it drops $36.00.
Can’t beat the Multi- motorcycle discount!

THANKS!!

I am glad it helped someone else, I almost didn't ask but thought of another day giving the same info to who knows how many companies.
I don't get it that it doesn't show up with progressive, when geico entered it they got everything about the bike, my address and my middle name that I didn't give them or progressive, it was like Jerry said about 5 minutes.
