Apollo AGB36 vs AGB-38?

Hello all. My son is finally ripping around on the JR50 I built for him from parts, and now I need to find a playbike that I can ride slowly enough to not lose the little guy (no more RMX250 type stuff...it wants to go too fast in order to be fun), so I'm looking at the Apollo lines.

I see listings available from various dealers for the AGB36 and 38. http://www.apollovehicle.com shows the 38 as being lighter, with an obviously different frame and different body to accommodate that change.

I've seen people posting info on the 36, but haven't seen much on the 38? Better? Worse? How is it different in handling/maintenance/durability with the different frame layout?

I would greatly appreciate any info or opinions from anyone who has actually seen (or better yet ridden) both. A great second-place would be specific info on the 38.

I think it's more about being able to find a 38 model for sale. I only ever see the agb36 model for sell. I'd love to have the street legal extreme model but don't ever see them for sale here in the states.

Well, the 38 is here...

https://www.pioneerpowersports.com/p...38-apollo-l08/

I just hate to be the first to pull the trigger. Any feedback from anyone?

The one thing that jumps out at me from a profile pic on the seller's site is that cavernous gap between the front wheel and the frame downtube...raked out? serious rearward weight bias?

Interesting...I've seen some places with pics of the 36 that still have the pushrod block, and I can never seem to see a clear statement on any reseller's site on which engine I'd really get. So all 36's in the US are OHC now?

Yeah, I looked for that everywhere, because I really wanted one, but I just found Russian and Finnish bike videos on Youtube. I have no idea why don't they sell them in the US.
