new odometer / speedometer

My speedo on the Templar X is kilometers only. And it doesn't seem to have an odometer at all! Not complaining since they marked the MCO "motorcycle"

But I can't use the trip meter because when you push the button it just resets!

So I can't really keep track of miles between oil change, mileage on tires, etc. So I am looking into a similar shaped replacement unit.

I just need a basic speedo/tach with odometer. I really don't need all of the additional trail mapping, stuff since I carry a GPS capable phone

It is a 21" wheel, but would be nice if the odometer could be calibrated.

The real issue is it has to have an odometer to pass inspection when the time comes

I was looking at a SAMDO speedo on amazon. Has anyone here tried this one? I already have a sender
part number is 132253. Description is "SAMDO Universal Motorcycle Speedometer Odometer Tachometer RPM Speedometer Gauge 199 Kph Mph for Carburetor Motor" $60

It will take some rewiring. I have 3 magnets on the rotor so I may have to remove 2 of them, or just one? I may patch the sender wire, or just install the one that comes with the speedo. Good Winter project.
