I just ordered myself some ninja 250 rims & tires

Well, i pulled the trigger and bought myself some ninja 250 wheels and tires. They will most likely arrive within the next following days. However, I would like to know what type of spacers and things have to be trimmed for the fitment?

I was maybe thinking on making a video about this modification, in which other users from this forum could be more confident about doing the same.

heres some inspiration for you guys who ordered the wheels... this is my thread regarding my install: http://chinariders.net/showthread.php?t=13281

and a few quick comments:

the ninja wheels arent that bad to install, only problem i ran into is getting the bearings to match up to the axles, i dont know what bikes you guys have, so i cant speak for your axle sizes, but i know i had to replace all the bearings with odd size ones that took some google-fu to find, then just punch the bearing numbers into ebay...

also, dont forget that you will need the cush drive hub for the wheels if the set didnt come with them.

for spacers that can be as easy as using washers from the hardware store to achieve the desired thickness...i used a cmbo of the stock spacers and some washers.

as for the sprockets... i decided to use the stock ninja rear at first, which was fun for being a hooligan popping wheelies, but topped out about 50 in 5th gear. I ended up using a Jtr486.38 38 tooth rear (520 chain) and i used a JTF328-13 front sprocket. this may or may not work on your particular engine, so check specs as best you can.

i decided to go the route of cutting down my brake rotor (not sure what year wheels you got, may have different size rotors than my 85-86 wheels) instead of modding the brake bracket, as seen here:

as far as i know, they do not make the JTR486 style sprocket any smaller than a 38t...

youre welcome, i somewhat wish i had a few less teeth, as it winds out 5th gera prettty high to get 60 mph, but then again there isnt the torque (atleast on my 200cc) to pull up hills at much more than 50, so its a give and take.... i will take the drop in top end to get up hills safer....all the roads out here are 55 mph...gotta love living in the sticks....lol
