Brozz sprockets and chain

I went to Megadans very helpful sticky post on modifications and upgrades and found good info on sprocket product numbers and such but they are of course for the Hawk. Will these sprockets work on the Brozz also? Has anyone changed the factory sprockets on the Brozz and if so what sprockets did you put on and where did you buy your parts from?
In megadans post he referenced Jerryhawks link to gearing calculations which was very helpful, Thanks to both of you guys! I calculated I need to go with a 17f and 40r with a 428 chain. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

It looks like I have a 17f and 46r now so I only need to make a rear sprocket change.

There isn't too much information on Brozz rear sprockets on this site, at least not that I could find. Most guys are quite happy with the stock Bashan gearing it seems. Unless a Brozz owner can chime in the only way to know for sure would be to measure the current bolt spacing PCD (90mm) and hub diameter (58mm). If those are the same, then the JTR269 sprocket will work.

Thanks Dan for that info! I have my digital caliper at work so I used a tape measure to measure with and it looks like the hub diameter is probably the same, I measured 2.25 inches, but the bolt spacing measured 2.50 inches which is about an inch short of your 90mm reference. I'm glad you posted this because I just got on my computer to order the sprocket and chain and thought I better check here first. So I will have to research this a little, Thanks!!

Make sure that the Bolt spacing is center to center for that 90mm. Being M10 bolt holes, if you measure inside to inside it will be 80, and outside to outside, 100.

Yes I did measure center to center but I measured straight across, I wonder if you have to allow for the arch of the circle to get to the 90mm. I just came across this

So it must work on the Brozz too, as cheap as they are I'm going to order it and find out for sure.

I found the sprocket measurement locations, I had measured from one stud to the next instead of directly across from each other. So it does look like it will fit properly.

Amazon delivered my sprocket and chain today. The sprocket fit the hub tight like its supposed to and all the bolts align perfectly. The only issue is the OEM sprocket stands out a 1/4 inch more than the aftermarket sprocket. I figured if it causes a problem with the chain binding or something I will remove the front sprocket and put a couple of washers behind the lock ring to force the sprocket to the inside a 1/4 inch. But after I mounted the sprocket and put the chain on it looks like it will be okay, its nice and smooth and no grabbing or binding noise coming from the chain so I'm going to leave it for now and see how it does. As far as the chain goes I ordered a 128 link chain and it was a little bit long so I took out 2 links to make a snug fit. Probably could of been fine with 1 less link but I wanted to allow plenty for chain stretch. I have 6 lines of adjustment so I should be good for a while.

Just got back from a ride and my max speed was 67.4mph on my GPS. That's 5mph faster than stock gearing (disappointing) The engine wouldn't pull past 6000-6500 rpm. I believe with this gearing if I can get the max 7500rpm out of it then it should hit low 70's. I'm going to play with the jetting a little and if no joy then time to remove the head.

Cupholder does fine, it's the same one I had on my 1000cc Concours and has seen north of 100mph. I’m not sure how to take that comment as it has nothing to do with this thread. I make my bikes the best they can be for me and what I want out of them. I’m not trying to turn this bike into a race bike but a usable commuter bike that I can take off road occasionally. It’s getting close but still needs a little more work to be where I want it.

It is interesting to me that the bike wont pull past 6500 in 5th, but it could just be at its limit in terms of power. I am interested to see what changes you get with the jetting.

How many miles you have on it? It will take a few hundred miles for the engine to loosen up and wake up.

I haven’t ridden it much since last jet change. But I’m at 120 main, pilot or slow jet or start jet or whatever it’s called I’m at 40. Needle is down one from middle groove and mixture screw at 2 turns out . It doesn’t stumble or hesitate just acts like it runs out of steam. My thought was main jet because it pulls good up to 3/4 throttle

That should be enough miles to loosen it up. I'm like Dan, Something just doesn't seem right especially with the mods you have done. I know on my hawk with just tuning the stock carb and exhaust I could do 70mph with the 17/40 combo. If I remember correctly I was running a 115 main with those mods. A 120 was a little rich for me. Have you done a plug chop at WOT?
