And so it begins!

Muahahahaha!

Ordered from Amazon on 7/1, shipped from Dallas Power Sports on 7/3, delivered yesterday (7/8).

Painfully long video coming.

Congrats! That's pretty quick for today's standards.

I don't know for certain, but it seems like he might have a monopoly on the DFW region.

Spins, the total cost from Amazon was $2259.43.

I was kind of bummed to find there's no DVD like with some others. Oh well.

Got a few questions though...

What are the torque specs for the valve cover? Adjusting the valve lash is on my (massive) todo list before the first start. I don't want to over tighten them.

What are the torque specs for the bolt that holds the rear shock in place? I discovered that it wasn't in place today. That makes sense though as it lowers the whole bike by not installing the lower bolt.

What are the torque specs (there's a theme here... ) for the swing arm bolt? I'd like to be able to grease it after the first ride.

I think I'm up to about an hour of unedited video so far. Very little of it is close-up stuff though. I figure there's enough videos out there that cover most of the details. I'm only digging into the stuff that I feel are worth noting.

Thanks all!

I don’t have and torque specs. I have a Brozz. But I just snugged down end valve cover bolts. You’ll get a feel how tight they are when you remove them. The shock bolt, add some grease to the bolt and tighten the nut with some Loctite. I made mine good and tight and left it.

Are there any issues I need to be aware of if I use Rotella T4 10W-30 instead of 15W-40?

Also, the video is done! Just about 2 and a half hours. It's taking a VERY long time to upload. I'll post a link here when it's done.

Thanks all!

The upload and processing took forever...

I think the first 15 minutes and the last 10 minutes or so are the "good" bits if you've already got one of these bikes. Feel free to jump around in the video - it's kinda....long.

I believe Rotella 10/30 has friction modifiers that will damage the clutch. The 15/40 doesn't.
