Valve cover screw

I am having difficulty removing the back right screw on the valve cover. It is a 21 Tbr7. Tries using a wrench and socket with no luck and am worried I’m going to strip it. Anyone know what specific tool I can use to get it off? Thank you.

Do you have room to use an impact driver? They usually cost under 20 bucks.

The valve cover bolts shouldn't take much to remove them. Use a good 6 point socket to lessen the chance of striping.

There was room on the other 2 to fit a ratcheting wrench but not this one and no way to fit a socket in there.

Box end wrench but most are 12 point. If you can get your hands on a tubing wrench it will be 6 point and have less chance of striping.

If you have a brass punch try hitting the head of the bolt with said punch and a small hammer to jar loose the threads and then coat the bolt area with some penetrant fluid and allow it to soak in overnight. In the morning give the bolt one more tap with the punch/hammer and loosen with a 6 point socket ,if you have one. Should spin right out. Warning,,, this should be a tap with the hammer a child could do i.e., softly and using different angles if possible. Good luck.

I got it off using a regular 10mm wrench, the ratcheting one was too thick. Thanks everyone, sometimes the simplest things get me rattled.

I ended up stripping one of them trying to get it off. It was probably the same one you're having problems with. It was on there far too tight. The seller was 360 Power Sports (Texas Power Sports). They were good about sending THAT replacement bolt at no cost although I haven't used it yet because I was able to get the stripped one back on securely enough before I recieved it from them. I'll replace it next time I check the valve lash.

In cases like this I also use a normal box wrench, tapping on the wrench gently with something as I put some torque on it to loosen any stickiness. Helps break it loose and prevents breaking it off.
