New Hawk 250 owner questions

Hey guys bought a Hawk 250 not to long ago and have been having a blast. I had it assembled by killermotorsports and they did an awesome job. Seems like they used red loctite on a few things, rear sprocket bolts in particular.

I have done everything in the hawk 250 information pinned post already. My questions are.

1. Sometimes I hear slight clicking or other sounds however so slight when pushing the bike with clutch in and in neutral and otherwise. Always sounds like the front sprocket area where I did find a little stick I havent removed yet maybe thats it..

2. The shift lever has some play, and slides up and down the shaft a bit. I dont want to have it come off obviously..

3. I want to buy Heavy Duty tubes off amazon but I dont know for sure if any 21 , 17'' (Or whatever the numbers are) tubes will work. Want to buy these soon and keep them on me.

4. How would I go about getting or making skid plate that will slightly protect the engine case as well?

Those are some burning questions ive been having. Glad to be a Hawk 250 owner Thanks guys.

I would personally change the tubes sooner than later. Unless you want to experience rapid deflation on the front tire while moving. The rear is no big deal, but the front is a risk I wouldnt take again. I got lucky when my front went.

The clicking may be the chain guide on the swing arm. They are notoriously aligned very poorly.

The skid plate has 2 options. As mentioned, JerryHawk250 had a few made for the hawks, send him a message. The one he made for me also has a center stand, which ia quite handy for maintenance.

The other option is the CSC ubit for the TT250. It does bolt on to a Hawk.

Welcome aboard. You've already gotten bonus points for posting a picture of your Hawk. I do have 2 skid plates and one skid plate with the center stand left if interested.
Front tube size is 80/100-21 and rear is 110/100-18

Thank you guys. Thanks for the links to skid plate I have to save a bit of money and thinking a carb might be a must first.. Im honored to have you guys respond to me ive read so many threads where you have helped people and i have learned a lot.

Yes im not to worried about the noise when pushing sometimes its like there is nothing other times ever so slight. I have had issues with chain gaurd mayebe its causing something im not noticing ive had to pop the tabs in they popped out and align it a bit.

The shift lever bolt was loose! It didnt look like it but i grabbed socket and tightened it a hair and its perfect now..
