My battery just died!
My battery on my Shineray has just given up the ghost after only 3 months. I've tried cleaning the terminals and the fuse, then tried charging it over night without any luck!
I used my Toyota Surf to jump start it this morning and took it for a long ride. Tried the electric start and no go! I checked the charge voltage without the battery connected and the VM read between 14 and 15 volts. I connected the battery and with the bike motor running, tested again and then got 12.75volts. Trying to find another battery is not that easy in New Zealand! Will try looking for one of these in the morning: 7A-BS GTX-7A-BS M32X7A 44023 CTX7A-BS YTX7A-BS |

Any 12vdc motorcycle/small engine battery should work fine. Just need to find one that'll fit in the holder.

No doubt...when I found a battery at NAPA I figured 'oh, it is close enough' but man. I had to do some bending and pounding to get that thing to eventually slide in the hole. My battery is held in a square metal box under the seat.
