VBikes.com = No Go =(

I just spoke with Tim at Vbikes. (One for me one for my friend) I wanted to buy 2 black Komoto's in the next 2 weeks and called to ask for the package price so I could get the funds ready. He asked me if I wanted the high end or low end bike. I told him I wanted the Komoto, apparently the "high end" bike. He told me he only had 1 yellow and one blue left and they were probably going to be sold out soon. I told him I would not mind waiting until his new shipment comes in so I could buy 2 black Komoto's He told me there is no new shipment until the "END OF SUMMER" 8O He said he could however get more low end birds but that's not what im looking for. The black Komot's that are listed on his site are not even available.

Unreal... What now? Any other good dealers that I can get the Komoto from? I am not going to settle to buy the low end bike nor a color I don't want. I am not going to wait till the end of summer. There has to be another option here. My friend and I want the bike listed on his site the black Komoto. He said its listed but he is out of them and will be till the end of summer. I told him it was unfortunate that we could not do business because I herd good things about him.

Please read it again.. I said Tim calls the Hi-bird low end and the Komoto the high end model. Don't get mad at me thats what HE said.

The Komoto uses higher performance and different parts and upgrades. Here are a few of them. It's also the attn to detail that also makes them nicer. I don't want to get flamed by the bird owners that is not the point of my post but I will enlighten you so you know the differences. After that please stay on topic.

I'm not mad or offended in your comments,weather Tim words it that way or not.Just keep in mind there are several people on this site that own
Hi-birds and they don't consider them low end.The difference in the two bikes are shocks and rear brakes.Other then that they are the same.There are no high preformance upgrade or parachutes that deploy to help you stop.

Vbikes has that old, outdated photo on their site as their main photo, but if you scroll down, they have a couple dozen photos of their actual Hi-Bird model--they really should change that old photo--it actually looks more like a RunMaster/Kinroad than even the old Hi-Bird.

The new Hi-Bird 200cc looks like a cross between the Komoto and the Hi-bird if you want to try to figure that one out! :?

Look at what you posted under the differences and look at the two bikes I posted.
Do you see a different exhast system?
Do you see different plastic ?
Do you see different Passanger pegs
Do you see different Motors?
Do you see different headlights?

THe Hi Bird is better. Traditional front shock is better. Drum brake for the rear is better. $200 less is better.

If you goto Vbike the picture I listed is the one that it shows for the 250 bird they sell. I did not post the wrong picture they did on their site. I am going by what I see and read on there. So here is the updated list then, tell me if its not accurate.

This is not really the point of my post, If you want to argue or settle what one is better we can take take it elsewhere. The point of the post is that I need to find another dealer that is well know that sells them. I don't care if some members buy the old stuff and save money, I don't and im not going to settle with it neither is my friend. We want to buy their "high end" bike but they are out of stock. I need to find a dealer that has them in stock thats all I am asking for not to argue if drum brakes and old shocks is better or not. I just want to find another dealer that actually has them in stock and for whatever reason no one has been able to point me in that direction and the post keeps going off topic.

Like, those flames are totally tubular, bra!

I wish the stickers were optional altogether. Not anything reflected bad on the makers, I just hate logos PERIOD. You could GIVE me the baddest-ass most expensive enduro made in the galaxy, and I'd still peel the damn stickers off the first hour in my hands.

I'm still on the fence about the old-style forks myself!
