Valve clearance

Getting ready to do a valve check on a tbr7 and a hawk 250! What clearances do you guys recommend for intake/exhaust? Thanks!

Too large of a spec for a cg motor. Most call for .002-.004 inches, or .05-.10mm

I personally run my valves at .06mm intake and .08mm (.0025in and .003in) exhaust. You can also simply run both valves at .06mm or .07mm and be just fine. I run my exhaust spec wider due to its increased state of tune.

I thought I was running on spec. Guess I'll redo them.

Let me guess you saw Motocheez video?
Anyway is not the end of the world you are just slightly off.
If you check Honda specs the max 0.10mm and you are somewhere near the 0.12mm
So you are off if only 0.02mm in inches you are off by 0.0007 in

Just a thanks

Just a heads up it's great to see guys starting to be real specific with inches and millimeters on their specs! Great work guys!
If we all keep it up maybe not so much confusion for future readers!

I saw Motocheez long before this site. I had already bought my Magician before I even knew about this site.

I know, Dan. I wasn't pointing anyone out specifically. I was just trying to reinforce that it is awesome to see more and more posts on the forum where users are noting what measurement system they are referring to.
Just trying to add a little encouragement when it comes to valve lash specs as it seems a little bit of a constant translation for guys that haven't been down that road before.

I just want to find the incorrect info and remove it from existence

You should notice a much quieter top end now. More like a sewing machine than a typewriter.

The top end got quieter, but the exhaust got noticeable louder.
