Thumbs Up Hawk 250 metal in oil

This is about 300miles, I recommend putting a magnet on the drain plug.

A look on the bright side.. your bike is getting lighter with every oil change. You could slowly over time save it all then reforge the motor shard by shard. I bet nobody on Youtube has thought of that!

300 miles...if it is your first oil change i wouldn't worry to much...
you don't know how well the componts are cleaned before
assembly...
if it keeps doing it... there might be a issue...
might also be a good idea to have a look at the filter
and clean it out..

Just filings from the cylinder wall and rings as they seat. Maybe a little from the transmission gears as well.

A magnetic drain plug is always a good idea, but these engines also have an oil spinner designed to catch and separate that stuff. It doesn't just float about all willy-nilly all the time.

That's not unusual after an engine break-in which is why it's good to change the oil after a few hours of initial riding.
