300 miles...if it is your first oil change i wouldn't worry to much...
you don't know how well the componts are cleaned before assembly... if it keeps doing it... there might be a issue... might also be a good idea to have a look at the filter and clean it out.. ...

Just filings from the cylinder wall and rings as they seat. Maybe a little from the transmission gears as well.
A magnetic drain plug is always a good idea, but these engines also have an oil spinner designed to catch and separate that stuff. It doesn't just float about all willy-nilly all the time.
