Gio Beast starts but then the idle gradually goes faster.
I was happy to have the beast start no problem after sitting since fall. Thing is, it idles quite fast and on its own gets a bit faster. I tried riding it a bit, when I put it in gear it speeds up on its own. If I shift gears, same things, gradually speeds up on its own. I got into third gear without touching the throttle. Kinda scary actually. Sorry if not using the right terminology. The quad is a couple years old, all original parts still. I hope this is just something that needs to be adjusted, not replaced. Any suggestions. Thanks!.

High idle
Check your plunger on the throttle body ... the pin that goes into the carb may be fouled up and this lets the fuel flow into the carb excessively... or your float is leaking intio the carb

I'd lube the cable. Do you have a cable luber? If not, buy one. I use Maxima chain wax on cables.
