Finally got the bike I wanted..
Got a 2009 klx 250 with 6k on it in good condition for $2500. The only thing I notice is it's getting cold here in Ny and sometimes it can be cold blooded and not start up. Any suggestions on what I could do or should I take it in to the shop and have them do something when they do the valve change . I love it so much more thank my Klr 650. So easy to pick up etc.

I think the KLX is a notorious for cold starts and is a jetting issue.

I'm sure they all use the same parts so I'm not sure why some have problems and others don't. In any event, a simple rejet fixes it. Check out the KLX forums you'll get the info you need. Mine didn't have the issue stock, and with a Moose jet kit and a FMF Q4 muffler it carburates excellently. A tad rich at over 5,000 feet but still OK up to over 9,000 feet.
