Hawk 250 street tires

Hey guys, I’m new here had my hawk for a couple weeks now, done a few upgrades including new carb, 17 45 sprockets, Airbox mod. I mainly ride on the streets and was looking at the shinko 705 series. I’ve only seen a couple videos for this upgrade, anyone else have an opinion on these tires?

They are a great street oriented tire for the Hawk. I had them for almost 4,000 miles on my first Hawk and they barely showed any wear even with my big fat butt in the seat.

If you only plan on street riding there are actual road tire options that fit the Hawk rims too. The 705's just have the mild off-road credentials to handle a dirt road with more confidence than a road tire.

I just put a set of shinko 705's on my DR650. The rear tire is great, the front tire had a wobble in it. I took it off and reseated it two more times. still wobbles and I sent it back as a defective tire. That happens occasionally with tires I guess but it was a first for me. I haven't ordered the replacement yet as I just put the old tire back on. I wouldn't let that scare you away from them though. As far as the tire itself, they are very quiet on the highway with pretty good grip. I haven't tried them off road yet.

Thanks for the reply, any suggestions on the sizes that work? I'm looking at 120/80-18 & 90/90-21
maybe some links to the tires would be great
