Evap/emissions canister removal?
Does anyone have a write-up on how to remove all the evap stuff on the RX3? I've done it on my SSR Buccaneer, but it didn't have a purge valve tied into the ECU.

Why? They're not hurting anything, and it won't give you any more power. Most of the people that buy them just ride them, mods for power aren't really discussed much, and since it's injected, you'd have to flash it in the (unlikely) case it got you power.

Well, first it's added weight that can be removed.
Second, if you overfill the gas tank, the fuel goes into the charcoal canister and the bike ends up running badly until that clears out. (I had this happen with my SSR Buccaneer). Third, there is a valve that can fail. My goal is to remove unnecessary complexity and weight, not gain power. charles. |
