South texas china rider

Last summer, I picked up a worked over 2006 roketa db07 from a former member, Itrack.
It has been a fun little bike to tinker on and lend to friends to learn.
I'm just now starting to fix some systematic issues and found this forum. Glad to be here. Here's a picture of the heap sitting next to my prized wr250x.

Welcome. I like that grey color on the fender.

Welcome! Thanks for contributing to my Roketa DB-07A thread.

What can you tell us about your headlight? Was it on the bike when you bought it? I'd like to get one like that for my bike.

Thanks for the welcome. The headlight is a polisport. I didn't wire it up, but it looks like there was only a small amount of splicing to complete the install. That fender is a cr250 fender I pulled from a basket full of beat up plastics. Way lighter and more durable than the stock one.

I used the same fender (except it was red) on Son of Weldangrind's '83 XR200R. It takes a beating.

I just noticed that your forks are conventional, and mine are inverted. If I didn't have a spare pair of inverted forks, I would have installed some like yours.

Yes, this one needs some better forks. If I had any fab skills I would attempt a frankenstein build with the roketa power plant and a 93 cr250 frame I came across.

A similar build has been done several times using an XR200 motor (which has the same mounting points as a Roketa motor) and a CR125 frame. The reports I've read say it becomes the ultimate bush bike. Do a Google search on it, and you'll find tons of info.
