What's going on with my spokes?
Had a few loose spokes last weekend that I tightened a bit, but seems like I really had to turn the spoke nipples a lot (showing lots of thread on the spoke) to get it tight. Mind you this is the first time I've ever worked on a wheel so this is just a newbie's perspective, but I feel like something is wrong here.
I've attached two photos to give you a sense of what I'm talking about. Appreciate any help https://imgur.com/a/ay5E0IL |

It's not uncommon to have loose spokes from the factory. Looking at the pictures I see a couple of issues. One is the valve stem is cocked. This is probably from the wheel spinning on the rim. The nipples don't look like they are seated all the way. You may want to check to make sure the rim strip is still in place and the nipples didn't punch through it. It would be a good idea to let the air out and put either talc or baby power on there so the tube will slide If the tire slips on the rim.
