Smile Hello from the Philippines

I accidentally found this forum looking for Chinese MC manuals. I was very impressed with the help given to other user with details on how to remove a flywheel on a 125cc China bike.

I bought a Chinese bike here recently in the Philippines from Motorstar for a little local transportation to break up the boredom. I was at this dealership waiting for my MC to arrive from distribution and watched their so called mechanic. OMG, I knew than that I would have to do my own work. It seems they lack a lot of tools and improvise with a metal hammer and standard wrenches. He finally removed a flywheel after several hours beating on the flywheel with the metal hammer and prying with a screwdriver.
The best part was when he disassembled an engine with and beat out the cam again with the hammer. I should have filmed it and posted it for "things not to do" LOL
I have changed rings in engines and changed clutches in my younger days in a car, and repaired my lawnmower engine, but never worked on a Motorcycle. So if I ever have to do this I am hoping to get some support from this site. Seems there are some smart eggs on here.
I am originally from the US, but retired here for various reasons, main one being money. LOL Where else can you retire on SS.
Again; hello to everyone.

Welcome!

Did you buy a 125? May we see some larger pics of it?

The smart eggs around here will be pleased to share knowledge.

Hello Weldangrind
Thank You for the welcome. Yes I bought the 125cc Saphire from Motorstar for P42500($1000 USD). I originally was going to buy the Z150 or the Trlax 200, but I was a little afraid of the weight (300lbs) at my age. LOL Not strong like you young guys anymore. The 125cc is only 82kgs (about 180 lbs) and still has mag wheels, dual disc brakes. Oh yes and is an automatic. A Honda or Kawasaki woud have cost about $1600 for the one I bought. the Z150 was $1300 and Trlax 200 was also $1300. Unfortunately all too heavy for an old man. I will try posting a larger pic, but there is a limit to Kbytes for pics.

Nice bike! I like that is uses the venerable horizontal Honda-cloned motor. Set the valves once in awhile, change the oil regularly (including cleaning the screen), and it will run for a long time.
