Fuel Starvation issue LF 110 GY-3

I have a LF110GY-3 which has a fuel starvation issue.

It is 8 years old and serviced regularly. However I had a split fuel line from the tank to the filter.
My service engineer has removed the tank and replace the fuel line direct to the on/ off tap and then new line from the tap to the carburettor.

The engine will run for about a mile and then I get fuel starvation and the engine dies.
I let it stand for about a minute and then it will start up OK. The same problem happens a mile later.

The engineer has removed the fuel filter from the feed and I am wondering if this is causing the issue.
Can anyone suggest options please.

Check to make sure the tank is vented.

Time to blow out the fuel lines, petcock, carb. Likely a piece of rubber from the old fuel line restricting flow. I'd pull the line off the carb and see if fuel flows easily through the line.
